HEIC to JPG

Convert iPhone HEIC photos to JPG in your browser.

HEIC/HEIF: up to 10 files, 10 MB each, 50 MB total. Only the main still image is converted; metadata and Live Photo video are not retained.

How it works

  1. Choose HEIC photos. Files are converted one at a time.
  2. Save individual images or download all results as a ZIP.

Common questions

Does HEIC conversion retain Live Photos?

Only the main still image is converted. Live Photo video and original metadata are not retained. Keep the HEIC original when you need these.

A real conversion example

We tested the public libheif HEIC example with this converter. The measured output is a 1280 × 854 JPG. The source link below identifies the exact test image; it is not an uploaded user photo.

Original: 718.1 KB, Result: 427.7 KB

These measurements are from one test file, not a promised result for every file. Sizes use 1 KB = 1,000 bytes.

Choose settings for your task

Choose JPG for a website or app that cannot open iPhone HEIC photos. This tool keeps the decoded pixel dimensions and exports JPG at its preset quality. If you want PNG output instead, use HEIC to PNG. Convert first, then compress only if the receiving service needs a smaller file.

If the result is not what you expected

Only the main still image is exported. Live Photo motion, original metadata and the full HDR appearance are not guaranteed to survive. If a photo looks different, keep the HEIC original and compare it on the device that took it. Renaming .heic to .jpg does not convert the file.
